The PlastLIFE project is one of the co-implementers of the "Augmented Artefacts" exhibition at the University of Lapland. The exhibits are on public display at the University of Lapland’s public gallery “Kilo” exhibition 28.11.–14.12.2023.

The theme of the exhibition explores how interactive technology can integrate into future environments and aims to provoke thoughts on the reuse of plastic materials through design concepts. The exhibition features two works created during the PlastLIFE project: OceanWash and PlastRain.

Plast Rain is a raincoat inspired by the reuse of plastic materials. Through this design concept, the aim is to demonstrate that a worthless and used plastic product can be seen in a new light when given a new meaning through material reuse. The material and color scheme of the PlastRain raincoat is created from various used plastic bags.
